Upcoming Architectural Exhibit Call for Entries – Submissions Close January 16, 2019

In collaboration between the Museum of Ventura County and the American Institute of Architects Ventura County, the Design in the Making, Ventura County Architecture exhibition is an exploration of the dynamic role of architects and designers in affecting positive change in our community through the Design Thinking Process.

As we build on the past can we find the creative design thread that leads to innovation for the environmental needs of the future? This is where YOU, the community, come in.

We are seeking submissions to be considered for the Design in the Making, Ventura County Architecture exhibition. Submissions should include at least one of the following:

• Architectural stories and/or images of controversies that may have arisen during the design of local structures
• Examples of County projects built or un-built highlighting the evolving conversation within the design process
• Ideas for improving or strengthening our community, from benches to parks to reimagining downtown

Your submission can be as simple as a brief 100 word narrative or idea, a mock design or existing applicable imagery, or whatever you feel best expresses your thoughts. For additional information and to be considered, please fill out the Call for Entries form and submit via email to mary@follenweiderassociates.com no later than January 16, 2019.

Design in the Making, Ventura County Architecture opens February 19, 2019 and runs to May 22, 2019.
