Join us for an afternoon exploring the history and meaning of Danza Mexica with Dr. Jennie Luna, Professor of Chicano/a/x Studies at CSU Channel Islands. Learn how this traditional dance and ceremony connects to prayer and gratitude.
Danza Tonantzin will perform at 2:15 PM, followed by Dr. Luna’s presentation. Dr. Luna has been a danzante for over thirty years and presents an ethnographic perspective.
