The Museum of Ventura County’s Agriculture Museum would like to invite you and your classroom to participate in a special Earth Day Virtual Tour! Join Education Manager Bob, MVC Educator Leila and our special guest Bodhi the Dog as we learn about composting — the natural process of recycling organic matter, such as leaves and food scraps, into a valuable fertilizer that can enrich soil and plants. Viewers will also be entertained and informed with a rock ‘n roll rendition of “We Will Rock You” by our education team, titled “We Will Compost.” This is not to be missed!
Additionally, viewers will also participate in “From the Land to My Hand,” the Museum’s beloved virtual tour that explores where our fruits and vegetables come from, an investigation of plant parts in our Ag Museum Garden, and an exploration of our museum halls that depict farming history. The virtual tour will feature museum educators live on Zoom, as well as historic artifacts, photographs, and original video clips from inside the museum. We will have room for multiple classes to join us via our secure Zoom feed where only our screen will be displayed during the program—yet we will feature interactive questions and other features.
