The Museum of Ventura County is pleased to present the next installment in its series of conversations with Changemakers. Back in October 2020, civil rights activist and community organizer Dolores Huerta joined longtime activist and civic leader Jorge Corralejo, farmworker activist David Damian Figueroa, and Chief Curator Anna Bermudez for a Zoom conversation. You are invited to join us on Thursday, April 29, 2021 from 6:30 to 7:30PM for “Changemakers: Local Heroes Combatting Climate Change.” Admission is free with registration.
Panelists include Dr. Chris Funk, Director of the Climate Hazard Center at UCSB and author of “Drought, Flood, Fire: How Climate Change Contributes to Recent Catastrophes”, Kristine McDivitt Tompkins, the president and co-founder of Tompkins Conservation, an American conservationist, and former CEO of Patagonia, Hans Cole, Director of Environmental Campaigns and Advocacy at Patagonia, Florencia Ramirez, Ventura County Climate Emergency Council and author of Eat Less Water, and Michelle Stevens, Founder of the Refill Shoppe, public artist and environmental activist.
