This included Prohibition, which tried to block the flow of alcohol that irrigated the decade’s flair and freedom. Less known was a tide of anti-immigrant prejudice, using Prohibition to target minorities.
All this history is found in Ventura County: the gold flash of good times and glamor – barely concealing the tarnished tin of misused power.
