Pets of all kinds are welcome on Free First Sunday, December 3, as the Museum teams up with the Santa Paula Animal Rescue Center (S.P.A.R.C.) for a fun-filled pet-focused day. Dogs can enjoy a “Canine Cake Walk” featuring a yummy selection of biscuits and treats, and pet owners of all kinds will have fun with the pet-antlers craft, 1-3 p.m. (thanks to museum sponsor, Mimi Allin).
Santa will be there ready to have a photo taken with you and your pet. And if you don’t have a pet, S.P.A.R.C. will be “loaning” out (donations appreciated) a few of their gentlest dogs for your Santa photo. S.P.A.R.C. will be on hand with plenty of furry friends needing forever homes.
Please be aware that there will be many animals and young children attending the holiday pet event. The Museum asks that you use your best judgment when bringing your pet to this event. If you think your pet will be scared or feel threatened, consider leaving your animal at home and take advantage of S.P.A.R.C.’s gentle dog “loan” instead.
