The Museum of Ventura County and the Ventura Film Society will co-present the Museum Matinee Series, a monthly film experience, to be held at the Museum’s Smith Pavilion, 100 E. Main Street, Ventura. The first series will be part of the main exhibit ‘At Table: The Business of Food and Community’ and will feature City of Gold, a documentary about Pulitzer Prize-winning, Los Angeles food critic, Jonathan Gold as he explores the cultural, historical, economical and diversity of Los Angeles’ culinary culture. 1 p.m., Sept. 23, Admission is $5 for members (both Museum members and Film Society members) and $10 for non-members.
