Free First Sunday: Basket Weaving

ADMISSION IS FREE ALL DAY, 11 A.M. TO 5 P.M.

Before you settle down to watch the big game, join us at the Museum of Ventura County for Free First Free Sunday on February 2, 2020 from 12—2PM for a children’s basket weaving activity led by our Museum educators. This activity will give kids and family members an opportunity to handle basket making materials and weave their own creation! As always, admission to the activity and the museum is free.

In addition to practicing basket weaving, visitors can behold the mastery of our Woven Earth exhibit that focuses on California Native American baskets. The exhibit features the exquisite and inspiring work and the traditions of the Native communities reflected through the basketry on display.”

Visitors are encouraged to also explore the exhibit, “California Cool: Mid-century Modernism on the Central Coast” before it closes on February 23, 2020.
