ADMISSION IS FREE ALL DAY, 11 A.M. TO 5 P.M.
We hope that you’ll join us at the Museum of Ventura County for Free First Sunday on December 1, 2019 from 12—2 p.m. The education team will lead a festive craft activity for all ages to participate in. Create your own jingle bell shaker and holiday kazoo! As always, admission to the activity and the museum is free. Festive music will fill the museum’s courtyard during craft time.
Visitors are encouraged to explore the museum’s latest exhibits, “California Cool: Mid-century Modernism on the Central Coast” and “Woven Earth“.
“California Cool” explores the popular design movement in interior & graphic design, architecture, and urban development from 1945 to 1965, and features architectural photography, period interior furnishings, films, paintings and pottery.
Woven Earth displays a wide range of hand-woven baskets from the Museum’s extensive collection, focusing on California’s native communities and the traditions involved in making these baskets.
