In celebration of Día de los Muertos, the Museum of Ventura County invites our community members to contribute mementos, photos, drawings, poetry, or other items to be included in the large outdoor altar that will be erected at the Museum of Ventura County and Agriculture Museum in Santa Paula. Please note that these items are non-returnable, so it is recommended that you make copies and keep your originals. These items cannot be returned under any circumstance. We apologize for any inconvenience.
The timing for the altar’s creation will be Sunday, October 24th- Friday, 29th. Altars can be viewed Saturday, October 30th– Sunday, November 7th. If you are interested in volunteering to create an altar on your own or collaboratively, please contact email@example.com
Community members who plan on creating altars in their homes are encouraged to submit images to firstname.lastname@example.org. The Museum will share these images on the Museum’s website and various social media platforms. You can also use the hashtag #MVCDDLM2021 when posting your own photos on Facebook and Instagram.
