Join us in the Boroughs Children’s Garden at the Museum of Ventura County on Saturday, June 19th from 11am—2pm to celebrate local artist MB Hanrahan’s new Chumash Village mural. Admission is free!
There will be live music, hands-on activities for the entire family, and much more, including storytelling, a live drum performance, rock stacking demonstrations and hands-on participation, archaeological dig simulation, and a presentation of Chumash Traditions by Chumash Elder Julie Tumamait-Stensile. Plus, visitors will have the opportunity to meet artist MB Hanrahan!
The refreshed Boroughs Children’s Garden is full of hands-on activities, including the Garden of Sound, where numerous instruments from guitars to a piano are at the hands of visitors, an Archaeology Dig Site with sifting and digging tools, and plenty of other games for all to enjoy.
Bring the entire family out to the museum!
