Afghan Cycles: Free Film Screening & Community Bike Ride

Organized by The Acorn Project, this free event brings the community together for a free film screening, panel discussion and community bike ride!

Join us for a community bike ride in Downtown Ventura and free film screening of Afghan Cycles at the Museum of Ventura County. Afghan Cycles follows the story of the first women’s Afghan Cycling team in Kabul who despite cultural barriers, infrastructure, and death threats, are embracing the power and freedom that comes with the sport. For all of them, the bicycle is a symbol of freedom.

Panelists include
Zuleima “Zuli” Jimenez, BikeVentura
Tserling Hauenstein & Kristi Hundt, Lotus Pedals
with more TBA

This special event is a collaboration with The Acorn Project and Ventura Film Society with support from:

  • Ventura Museum
  • BikeVentura
  • Lotus Pedals
