March 2, 2018
Join us for our 11th Awareness Walk and Speakers’ Forum on March 8 at the Museum of Ventura County, sponsored and presented by the Soroptimist International Clubs of the county.
On the Walk we will provide protest type signs to carry to bring awareness of Human Trafficking to downtown Ventura. We encourage you to wear red! Then pull up a chair to listen to this year’s Panel speakers: Dawn Schiller, Survivor/Advocate, her story; Michael Munn, Ventura County District Attorney Senior Investigator, the County law enforcement update; Christan Perez, Program Manager, HEART Program, Interface, recovery options for victims; and Dr. Allyson Richard, Los Robles Hospital, emergency room considerations for victims. A Question & Answer session will complete the event.
Information about our local victim resources, manned by their representatives, will be available before and after the Walk in the Pavillion.
Light, complimentary refreshments will be available
