Summer Concert Series at the Ag: Medicine Hat

Join us at the Agriculture Museum on Friday, September 6 @ 7:00 p.m. for the last performance of the 2019 Summer Concert Series. Born over the ashes of a campfire, Medicine Hat is an alternative rock-country group with and emphasis on melody and rich harmonies. Admission is $5 for Museum members and children under 18, $10 for nonmembers.

Over 25 years of involvement with Ventura’s seminal roots rock bands, the group’s fresh Americana tunes are the perfect soundtrack for long drives down a lonely highway. Medicine Hat has built a strong, loyal following by playing a steady list of shows, both as an Acoustic Duo and Full Electric Band. Performing throughout California and Austin, Texas, they have attracted the attention of critics, fans and musicians, alike.

Their third and most recent release, five song self-titled EP, has critics comparing them to artists like Gram Parsons, Townes Van Zandt and John Prine. With the fan coined term “Lonesome Desert Rock” as their tag, they continue to win over listeners with their gritty authenticity. VC Reporter awarded Medicine Hat “Best Original Band” in 2016, “Best Local Release” in 2015 and “One of the Best Live Original Bands” in 2015.
