2019 Agriculture Career Exploration Day

Museum of Ventura County, Totally Local VC, Ventura County Office of Education and VC Innovates.

Middle and High school students from throughout the County will participate in the 4th Annual Agriculture Career Exploration Day at the Museum of Ventura County’s Agriculture Museum in Santa Paula, on Friday, March 29, 2019, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. During the Agriculture Career Fair, representatives from colleges that offer agriculture courses, and representatives from Ventura County based agriculture businesses, will set-up information tables and talk to students about agriculture education programs and available careers in the agriculture industry.

This event is organized in conjunction with Ventura County Ag Week and in partnership with Totally Local VC, Ventura County Office of Education and VC Innovates.

Totally Local VC is a collaborative initiative focused on promoting the importance and success of the local agriculture and business community. Totally Local VC is dedicated to educating youth and community members on the important role business and agriculture plays in the success of not only Ventura County but the world and the many links each of has to small business and agriculture. Totally Local VC Agricultural Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

The Ventura County Office of Education (VCOE) is committed to expanding access to quality education for all. VCOE provides fiscal, training and technology support services to local school districts, helping to maintain and improve lifelong educational opportunities. VCOE offers an extensive calendar of professional development and educational courses and seminars at their state-of-the-art conference center in Camarillo. They also operate schools that serve educationally disadvantaged students, provide career education programs and coordinate countywide academic competitions.

VC Innovates is a collaborative endeavor bringing together educators, businesses and community partners to apply innovative approaches to the education experience, and seamlessly prepare future workers and leaders for the workforce.

Our Mission and Vision

The Museum of Ventura County engages participants in meaningful experiences with history, art, culture, and each other by aspiring to spark curiosity and encourage compassion to build community and connection.

Our Purpose

To promote interest in and understanding of the history of the Ventura County region; to collect and preserve archives, artifacts, art, and ephemera bearing on the history of the region; to document current regional events; and to create exhibits and programs that enlighten, educate, and engage the past, present, and future.

Our Partners

Major funding for the programs at the Museum of Ventura County is made possible by City of Camarillo, City of Fillmore, City of Moorpark, City of Ojai, City of Oxnard, City of Port Hueneme, City of Santa Paula, City of Simi Valley, City of Thousand Oaks, City of Ventura, and the County of Ventura.
