The Agriculture Museum is a Great Location for a Class Field Trip!

Classes are invited to take educational tours where students will explore new agricultural learning stations inside the Ag Museum galleries.

The stations will focus on plant growth, seasonal produce with simple recipes, local farmers, and the work of farm workers.

Students can also discover the Museum’s permanent and temporary exhibits about Ventura County agriculture, explore themed garden beds, sit on an Oliver tractor, dress up like a farmer, play our electronic match the crop game, and more.

Three Kinds of Visits for School Groups

Guided: Structured Field Trips Kindergarten through 8th grades

We offer standards-based, active-learning field trips for Kindergarten through 8th grade students. These visits are led by our Education Coordinator and Museum Docents who will work with your students in small groups.

90 minutes (9:30-11:00 am)
Guided visits need to be scheduled at least 30 days in advance.

Students will visit three interactive stations during the tour with an activity geared to their grade level where they will use their math, science, and deduction skills throughout the museum. Students will see our real beehive, plant a seed to take home, explore themed garden beds, and participate in a five senses taste testing.
