In this series\, local authors and historians will sit down with the Barbara Barnard Smith Chief Executive Officer Elena Brokaw to discuss their unique perspectives on our regions history and take questions from the audience. \nThe next episode features John Krist\, author of Living Legacy: The Story of Ventura County Agriculture. John Krist is an award-winning photojournalist and former CEO of the Farm Bureau of Ventura\, the regions oldest and largest agricultural association. He is the author of three books on Californias parks and wilderness areas\, and his most recent book Living Legacy: The Story of Ventura County Agriculture is at once a local history\, a photo essay\, and a vital lesson in modern farming. His timely commentaries on land-use policy\, natural resources and environmental issues have been published in newspapers throughout the United States.
