View the work of LA based photographer Cody Edison who spent two years getting to know and understand the elusive world of “charreria” in Ventura County.
This photography exhibition pays homage to the horsemen and women of Ventura County practicing the charrería, a competitive event similar to rodeo. The sport has been described as “living history,” or as an art form drawn from the demands of working life.
Documentarian Cody Edison’s work offers intimate glimpses into the lives, culture, and music of the passionate communities of California. He received a BFA in photography & media studies from CalArts in 2012.
