Volunteer Opportunities

The Museum of Ventura County relies on dedicated volunteers to support the Museum’s staff in a multitude of ways.  Volunteers provide customer service at the front desk and in the Museum store, assist curators in both collections and exhibit preparation, assist in the library, support administrative tasks, work at special events, facilitate learning for students, and much more.

You don’t have to be an expert to be a valued member of the Museum team.  You should be passionate about the Museum and want to join in our mission of sharing the art and history of Ventura County with our visitors.

If you do have specific skills that relate to a Museum department, please let us know.  If you have special talents or training such as woodworking, framing, photography, sewing, or graphic design we’d like to know.  You may have a hidden talent that will be invaluable to the Museum!
